The cache seemed to give no performance increase at all. I tried RAM cache and RAM disk and so far I've had no luck. I'm using Asus RAM cache and RAM disk software. I'm running a Maximus VIII Hero, i5 6600, Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4 3200MHz with a Seagate SSHD. RAMDISK TIP FOR FO4: do NOT include fallout4.cdx or fallout4.esm, causes random crashes(atleast for this guy) I do also want to mention that i am using ram disk to only try and smoothe out stuttering caused mainly by CPU bottleneck If anybody wants to kick in thoughts and tell me what they are doing id be more than happy listen. I figured id put my few cents on here, im currently using an 8gb ram disk (i got 24 gigs available) im actually seeing a decrease in performance due to not knowing which files to toss onto the ram disk, i have been reading up on the way this game is handled and rendered and it seems that all shadows have to be run and created through the CPU so ive started tossing shaders onto the ram disk as well as materials and meshes, granted im running this with an amd 8350 and a sapphire R9 280 so my set up is already well capable of running this game it feels as though finding the correct files to put on the ramdisk is just important if not more important than simply putting them on there randomly.
